Sandcastles

Originally intended to be a radio play with music, Sandcastles the new rock musical became a staged play with book, music and lyrics by Roger Mantell and Carl Worner. It was given a staged reading at a church in Parsippany, New Jersey and a year later a workshop performance at the Mazer Theatre on East Broadway in New York City. It had a large cast of mostly young actors from the NYC area accompanied by a rock band. The musical director was Susan Faith McCarthy and it was directed by Jay Michaels.

Musical selections from Sandcastles are on a CD and was arranged and produced by Grammy Award winning producer Tony Camillo and recorded in his studio in NJ with vocal performances by Carl Worner and Roger Mantell.
